Micromax-owned YU Televentures has launched a challenge for all the ROM developers. The name of the challenge is YU Android-M AOSP Bring-up Challenge. As the name suggests, YU is challenging all the ROM developers for developing an Android M AOSP ROM for its smartphones.
At the moment, the company has four devices in its portfolio: YU Yureka, YU Yureka+, YU Yuphoria, and Yu Yunique. The company has said that it would be helping the participants with everything they might need, like tutorials and even devices.

As said by YU,
“While the best ROM will be supported by YU and stable builds will be worked around it, top 3 ROMs for each category will stand to win exciting prizes as well. We believe in partnering and bringing the best forward to the YU clan and we are excited and hopeful that this challenge will bring forth a worthy ROM.”
YU has given the freedom to the participants whether they want to participate as an individual or a team, but only entry per individual/team will be accepted. It has said that top 3 ROMs for each of the device will stand to win prizes. The company is giving away Rs. 1,00,000 (about $1507) for first prize, Rs. 50,000 (about $753) for second prize, and Rs. 25,000 (about $376) for third prize. These three prizes are for each of the Yu smartphones.
