Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared a couple of images showing the Mi MIX 2 retail box ahead of its official launch next week. These images were shared on the Weibo social network and show the box in Black and Gold color combination which gives the feel of unboxing a premium device.

On the top, there is only MIX branding with nothing else written. As for the part of the box where you usually find the smartphone and other inbox contents, there is a lid covering all those compartments. The lid appears to be having some kind of message along with signature which we are assuming to be Jun’s.

Jun also shared a couple of Mi MIX 2 promotion images which emphasize on the fact that the flagship has a bezel-less display. You can see that these images show someone acting to be clicking photos using a smartphone which is simply a hint that Xiaomi’s next phone has so thin bezels that it is like holding a piece of glass and looking through it.

Other than this, there is a new leak which suggests something really interesting about the upcoming device. The leak is basically a photo of a smartphone’s display showing About section of the device which is claimed to be the Mi MIX 2. It shows the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor which is yet to be made official by the leading mobile chip maker.

It further shows a 6.2-inch display with 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution along with 4400mAh battery and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It also seems to be the 256GB storage model of the smartphone. As we know that Xiaomi is currently testing MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat, it is interesting to see the alleged device running Oreo.

Xiaomi will be launching the Mi MIX 2 on September 11th which means we will not have to wait longer to find answers to all our questions and doubts.
