Xiaomi has launched a new mid-range smartphone named Mi Max 2 in India with the event taking place earlier today. It is basically a phablet with a bigger display and battery along with decent specifications and is also a successor to last year’s Mi Max.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 sports a 6.44-inch Full HD display with 342ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it has the 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is a 12-megapixel camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, HDR adjustment technology, and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera which is an 85-degree wide angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and real-time video chat filters.
The phablet offers 64GB of internal storage with support for microSD card expansion up to 128GB. The whole package is powered by a 5300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. It will be shipping with MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1. Other features of the phone include a fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, reading mode, night display mode, split-screen mode, and Sunlight display for better sunlight visibility.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been priced at Rs. 16,999 and will be made available via both online and offline stores starting July 20th at 12 PM IST.
