After nearly a month of beta testing, Sony has finally started to roll out Android Nougat update for the Xperia X Performance. It is an OTA update and carries the build number 39.2.A.0.327.

The update is rolling out to both Xperia X Performance and Xperia X Performance Dual with model numbers F8131 and F8132 respectively. It will bump up the Android version number to 7.0 and also brings November security patch.

The Nougat update should bring features like new notification panel, native split-screen support, improved Stamina mode, and some other Sony specific ones. While it is an OTA roll out, you can also check for the update manually by Settings->About Phone->Software Updates.

Now, Sony has eight more devices in its list which it promised to upgrade to Nougat. These include Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia XA Ultra. If you own any of these Sony devices, you should expect some further update from Sony sometime soon.
