The Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android 8.0 Oreo has been spotted on Geekbench benchmark website. This time we have spotted that Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-powered variant of the flagship on the listing which shows it running Android 8.0.0 in the software department.

This is the first time the Snapdragon 835 variant has been spotted but in the past, we have seen the Exynos 8895 variant and Galaxy S8 Plus’ Snapdragon variant on the benchmark website with the latest Android version. While this listing does not clarify anything regarding the release date, it is safe to assume that Samsung will release the Oreo update sooner than later.

In a previous report via SamMobile, we did mention about two new firmware versions G955FXXU1BQI1 and G950FXXU1BQI1 which were discovered to be Oreo-based firmware for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus respectively. But as Samsung is yet to make any official announcement regarding its plans for Android Oreo update, we will have to wait and watch for now.
