OnePlus has now launched its latest flagship the OnePlus 5 in India at an event held in Mumbai earlier today. The India release of the smartphone has happened just two days after its global unveiling which happened in China. Like it has been since the entry of OnePlus in the Indian market, the OnePlus 5 will be an Amazon India exclusive where you will be able to get 6GB RAM with 64GB storage model for Rs. 32,999 and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model for Rs. 37,999. These models are available in Slate Grey and Midnight Black color respectively.
While the OnePlus 5 will actually go on open sale starting June 27th, OnePlus is currently running an Early Access Sale via Amazon India where eager fans have the opportunity to get their hands on the device earlier instead of waiting for another five days to order. There are also a bunch of launch offers for buyers which can be availed while buying the device.
In terms of technical specifications, the OnePlus 5 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with support for DCI-P3 color gamut. Under the hood, it has the 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. On the back, there is 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel dual cameras with f/1.7 and f/2.6 aperture where the second one is a telephoto sensor. The device also features Pro mode and Portrait mode for better photography. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge fast charging which is said to be capable of charging your device up to 60% within 30 minutes. It will be shipping improved OxygenOS based on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with features like Reading mode and Gaming DND mode. Other noteworthy features of the OnePlus 5 include a fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE connectivity, and global support for different network bands so that the device keeps on working even if you travel a lot.
