The Nokia 5 sales have finally started in India starting today. HMD Global has made the mid-ranger available in the country only via offline markets. It means you will not be able to buy the Nokia 5 via online stores and will have to go to your nearest offline retail store or any other store that sells smartphones and gadgets. But if you are planning to get hands on one, here is what you need to know.

Nokia 5 Specifications:

The Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. There is a 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It offers 16GB of internal storage with support for microSD card expansion. The whole package is powered by a 3000mAh battery and will be shipping Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Nokia 5 Pricing and Availability:

The Nokia 5 is currently priced at Rs. 12,499 which is a discount of Rs. 400 on the price that was announced at the time of the launch in India. There are three color variants named Matte Black, Copper, and Tempered Blue for the smartphone but as of now, only the first color option has been made available.

HMD Global has revealed that the Nokia 5 will be available across India in selected cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Calicut. You can expect more cities to get included in the list in the future.

HMD Global has also announced a few launch offers as Nokia 5 sales start in the country. If you are a Vodafone customer, you will be eligible for getting 5GB data per month for a period of three months at a monthly price of Rs. 149. Additionally, each Nokia 5 buyer will get Rs. 1800 off on hotel booking and Rs. 700 off domestic flight booking made via MakeMyTrip.com.
