The Nokia 2 budget Android smartphone is now reported to become official in November. This new report is coming from the publication Android Hits and is based on a screenshot showing a reply from Nokia Myanmar’s Facebook account. The reply specifically talks about Nokia 2’s launch in the Malaysian market but we can expect the launch for other markets to happens around the same time.

The screenshot shows Nokia Myanmar replying, “Nokia 2 is expected to be available in Myanmar in the month of November 2017.”

If we go by previous rumors and leaks, the Nokia 2 is a pure budget Android smartphone with entry-level specifications. It will be powered by the 1.27GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. There will be a 5-inch HD display with the huge 5000mAh battery which will be the USP of the smartphone. In the camera department, there is expected to be an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front shooter. It should be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

This will be the first Nokia budget Android smartphone after the launch of mid-rangers Nokia 3, 5, and 6 as well as the flagship Nokia 8.
