The “cloud first” smartphone Nextbit Robin has been launched in India. The phone has been priced at Rs. 19,999 and will be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart from May 30. It has been launched in both Mint and Midnight color options.
The Nextbit Robin has attracted the attention of the users and critics alike for not only the way it handles the storage space but also for its appearance. As for the storage, the phone offers 32GB of local storage and 100GB of cloud storage. It features a smart algorithm which keeps tracking your phone usage to determine which of the apps, images, and other data you use frequently and rarely on the phone. When it discover that you are not using some apps, images or data regularly, it backs them up in the cloud and thus, create more space for newer things. Whenever you might need that stored data, you can restore it from the cloud with one tap.
As the phone backs up the data when your phone is on charging and connected to WiFi (default settings), you don’t have to worry about the loss of battery or inflated data charges. It house four LEDs at the back which light up when the data sync is on.
Other than this, the Nextbit Robin features a 5.2-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, it has a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 3GB RAM. You will get a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter. The whole package is powered by a 2680mAh battery and ships with Android Marshmallow.
