After months of leaks and official teasers, Meizu has officially launched its newest smartphones Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. As the name suggests, the Plus model will offer you premium specifications for a premium price. But the USP of both these newly announced phones is the presence of dual AMOLED displays where the secondary sits on the back panel.

Yes, you read that right. Meizu has certainly opted to follow the LG way as it launched the LG V10 and V20 with secondary displays but the Chinese smartphone maker has done with a slight twist. It has put a 2-inch secondary AMOLED display on the back panel and right below the dual cameras of the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. This display can be used for checking notifications, music player controls, weather, and even clicking a selfie using the rear camera.

Other than this, both Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are standard smartphones where the latter one features flagship level specifications. You will get 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch AMOLED displays respectively with these smartphones. The Pro 7 comes with the MediaTek Helio P20 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage but with the Pro 7 Plus, you will have the all-new deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It happens to be the world’s first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset.

Both phones have dual 12-megapixel cameras on the back with f/2.0 aperture and Sony IMX386 sensors where one is a color sensor and another one is a monochromatic sensor. On the front, you will find a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are powered by 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery respectively with support for mCharge 4.0 fast charging technology. It is claimed to charge phones up to 67% within 30 minutes. On the software, these will be running Flyme OS based on Android Nougat out of the box.

Meizu has priced the Pro 7 at 2880 Yuan (about Rs. 27,500) and the Pro 7 Plus at 3580 Yuan (Rs. 36,000) with sales starting August 5th.
