Lenovo India has launched two new smartphones named Lenovo K8 and Lenovo K8 Plus at an event held earlier today. Both of these devices are part of the all-new K8 series which also includes the previously launched Lenovo K8 Note. While both phones offer essentially similar features, the K8 Plus comes with a few significant upgrades over the standard offering.

Lenovo K8 Plus Specifications:

The Lenovo K8 Plus sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it has the octa-core 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio P25 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone offers 32GB of internal storage with support for microSD card expansion. On the back, it has a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera setup where the second one is a depth sensor. As for taking selfies, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens, and Party Flash.

The whole package is powered by a 4000mAh battery and will be shipping with stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Lenovo has assured Android Oreo update for the device down the line. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also a 4GB RAM variant of the phone named Lenovo K8 Plus Holiday Edition which will be made available during the Diwali season.

The Lenovo K8 Plus will be available via Flipkart for a price tag of Rs. 10,999 starting tomorrow noon. It has been launched in Venom Black and Fine Gold color options.

Lenovo K8 Specifications:

The Lenovo K8 is the most affordable offering in the K8 series. It has a 5.2-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by the 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P20 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. You will get 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. There is a single 13-megapixel camera on the back with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. On the front, you will find an 8-megapixel shooter with Party Flash.

It has a 4000mAh battery to keep you going for the day and runs stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The Lenovo K8 will be available only in offline markets but there are no words on the pricing or availability yet. Once it becomes available, you will be able to choose from Venom Black and Fine Gold color options.
