Here is a good news for all the Huawei Honor 7 users in India. The company has started to roll out the Android Marshmallow update to the Honor 7 in India. The update is getting rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) method, but there is a little twist in how it will be available for your particular phone. Read on to know.

Huawei has set up an  online form where each Honor 7 user will have to request for receiving the Android Marshmallow for its phone. In the form, you will need to start things off by providing your Honor 7’s current software number. You can find it by going to Settings and then About Phone option. Once you have done this, next step is to provied the IMEI number of your phone. If you don’t know it, you can get it by dialing *#06# on your phone.

The final step is to provide your email address so that you can be contacted by Huawei support team in case of any issue. Once you have provided all the details correctly, just sit back and wait for 24-48 hours and Android Marshmallow update will be available via OTA.

The Huawei Honor 7 was launched in India in October. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD diplay. Under the hood, the phone has Kirin 935 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has a 20MP rear shooter and a 8MP front shooter. It comes in 16GB and 64GB storage variants. The whole package is powered by a 3100mAh battery and features a fingerprint scanner.

Recently, Huawei has launched another variant of the phone named as the Honor 7 Enhanced Edition. It is similar to the normal variant except for a 32GB storage space and Android Marshmallow out of the box.
