HTC is now reported to be gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone HTC U11 Life which will basically be a trimmed down version of the HTC U11 flagship. The report is coming from Android Authority which further mentions that it is the same HTC ‘Ocean Life’ smartphone which has leaked a few times already in past few months.

The HTC U11 Life is said to sport a smaller 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, unlike the Quad HD panel on the flagship. Under the hood, it will be featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor which is contrary to previous reports suggesting a Snapdragon 660 SoC. The smartphone will come with a 16-megapixel rear as well as the front shooter with phase detection autofocus and Paranormal Selfie support respectively.

While the report does not mention the amount of RAM it will be offering, it is reported to offer 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support (up to 2TB). The battery capacity for the smartphone is also unknown at this point and as for software, you can expect it to ship with at least Android 7.1 Nougat when it launches.

The HTC U11 Life is also said to be IP67 certified which should offer you some protection against dust and water. It is reported to come with HTC’s USonic earbuds which is a hint that it might be missing 3.5mm headphone jack. The reason behind this possibility is that these earbuds feature USB Type-C port.
