The HTC U11 is the latest Android flagship to come from the stable of the Taiwanese device maker. It is also the newest member of the U-series which currently includes HTC U Play and U Ulta smartphones. The newest U11 flagship sports same fluidic design as other U series phones along with latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and an all-new Edge Sense feature.

Talking about HTC’s Edge Sense feature, it will allow users to perform different tasks or launch apps by simply squeezing the phone from side frames. You can use it for doing things like launching the camera app or sending texts. You can easily customize the squeeze gesture from phone’s settings and even set the intensity of squeeze.

As for specifications, the HTC U11 sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB or 6GB RAM. Similarly, there are two storage variants 64GB and 128GB with support for microSD card expansion up to 2TB.

On the camera front, there is a 12MP shooter on the back with 1.4-micron pixel and UltraSpeed autofocus sensor. It features f/1.7 aperture along with dual-LED flash and support for 4K video recording. For advanced users, HTC has also offered a Pro mode where users can control different aspects to get best out of the camera. As for taking selfies, there is a 16MP camera with various selfie-centric features and support for 1080p recording.

The HTC U11 comes with a 3000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. On the software side of things, the latest flagship runs on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box. It also features a total of three smart assistants: HTC’s Sense Companion, Amazon’s Alexa, and Google Assistant. Other features of the flagship include IP67 dust and water resistance, BoomSound Hi-Fi audio, Hi-Res audio certification, and 3D sound recording. It should be noted that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack and it comes with an adapter for using your old 3.5mm headphone accessories with the phone’s USB Type-C port.

HTC has priced the HTC U11 at $749 in the United States and €749 in the Europe. It will be available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red color variants. There are no words on the availability of the phone in India yet.
