It is not hard to tell why HTC U11 will be the first HTC device to receive the update. It is the current-gen flagship from the Taiwanese OEM which was launched earlier this year with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. Google officially released stable Android Oreo earlier this week and as HTC uses custom skin named Sense, it will surely take some time for the company to make necessary tweaks to the source code before pushing it to masses.
With Android Oreo update, you will be receiving a number of new features. These include the likes of picture-in-picture mode, notification dots, adaptive icons, and new notification management among others. So for a quick recap, HTC will be releasing Android Oreo for the HTC U11 first which will be followed by the HTC U Ultra and HTC 10.
