A new report has appeared on the internet which is suggesting that the Google Pixel 2 will mark the debut of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset. This new report is coming from Fudzilla which is in contrast to a previous rumor claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s next offering of flagship chipset.

The report is based on the information shared by source’s industry friends which further mentioned that Samsung’s next Galaxy Note phablet will actually be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor. The upcoming Snapdragon 836 is said to offer 10% better performance and more battery efficiency than the predecessor. It has been reported to feature same CPU cores and GPU as the Snapdragon 835 but with higher clock speed.

While the Pixel 2 is said to be the first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 836 processor, it will not be the only one. It is reported to be followed by flagships from other OEMs like Xiaomi and OnePlus.
