As we are inching closer to the MWC 2017 event in Barcelona, the Galaxy S8 rumors and reports have started to appear quite often. While some of these rumors and reports line up with each other, some completely contradict. And now we have a fresh report Naver that suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S8 will be featuring a fingerprint scanner at the back.
If you might remember that Samsung next flagship was previously rumored to have the fingerprint scanner embedded in the display. And when Synaptics went on to announce the first-ever optical fingerprint scanner earlier this week, everyone thought of that rumor to be true. But as per the latest report, the testing for fingerprint scanner embedded into display did not go as expected and now, Samsung is considering to place it at the back of the phone.
The report further mentions that the Galaxy S8 might even feature an Iris scanner which made its debut with the, now dead, Galaxy Note 7. It is also said to be faster on the next Galaxy flagship as compared to the phablet.
Like all the other times, we would suggest you take these rumors with a pinch of salt. In the meantime, do you prefer fingerprint scanners on the front or the back? Share your views with us using the comments section below.
