We have heard it a number of times that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature dual rear cameras but we did not get much information regarding its technical specifications. Now, there is a report coming from well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who has claimed that the Galaxy Note 8 dual cameras will feature up to 3x optical zoom with the help of its secondary telephoto lens.

The two cameras on the Galaxy Note 8 are said to be 13-megapixel wide-angle and 12-megapixel telephoto lens shooters. Both of these sensors are said to support optical image stabilization which means non-shaky shots and video recordings. This setup seems to be similar to what recently launched OnePlus 5 offers but it supports optical zoom only up to 1.6x.

Samsung is all set to announce the Galaxy Note 8 phablet next month at an event scheduled to be held on August 23rd in New York City. We will surely be getting to know all the specifications and features of the phablet unless some major leak appears before that. There also reports suggesting that the next Galaxy Note will be sold for over $900 making it the most expensive Samsung Galaxy flagship ever.
