We are only a couple of months away from the official announcement of the latest Nexus smartphones which are rumored to be manufactured by HTC. These are said to be codenamed as Marlin and Sailfish with former being the bigger of the two. Now, the specs of the Marlin Nexus have been leaked by a source to Android Police with the confidence level rated 9 out of 10.

The rumored HTC ‘Marlin’ Nexus is said to be sporting a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. Under the hood, it will be having a quad-core Qualcomm processor which could be either Snapdragon 820 or the rumored 821 or 823. The phone will have 4GB RAM with 12MP/8MP camera combo.

Interestingly, the bigger HTC Nexus is listed to have 32GB and 128GB storage options with no 64GB variant. The phone also has bottom-firing speakers, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth v4.2. There is no prize for guessing that the phone will be running the latest Android Nougat.

Prior to this, the same source also leaked the specs of smaller HTC ‘Sailfish’ Nexus smartphone. The phone is expected to come with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display. It is powered by a quad-core quad-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with 4GB RAM. The storage option is listed as 32GB but it could also have another 128GB model like Marlin. There is a 12MP/8MP camera combo and a 2770mAh battery. Other specs include a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, Bluetooth v4.2, and bottom-firing speakers.
