Acer has announced two new smartphones named Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus along with a new tablet Iconia Talk S at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany. All the three Android-powered devices are affordable and targeted at the entry-level segment.
The Acer Liquid Z6 Plus (shown at the top) is bigger of the two smartphones and is made out of metal. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD display. Under the hood, it has a quad-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset and Mali-T720 GPU with 3GB RAM. The phone has a 13MP primary camera and 5MP secondary shooter. It offers 32GB of internal storage and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The whole package is powered by a 4080mAh battery.
It has been priced at €249 and will become available in the Europe, the Middle East, and Asia starting December.
As for the smaller Acer Liquid Z6, it is made up of plastic and sports a 5-inch display with 720p resolution. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek MT6737 chipset with Mali-T20MP2 GPU and only 1GB RAM. There is an 8MP rear shooter with 2MP front shooter and 8GB of internal storage. The whole package is powered by a 2000mAh battery. It has been priced at €119 and will be available in the Asia, Europe, and the Middle East starting November.
The last Android-powered product from Asus is a 7-inch tablet named Iconia Talk S. As the name suggests, it offers calling abilities. The tablet has an HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT8735 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. There is a 13MP/2MP camera combo and will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. It has been priced at €169 and will be available in the Europe, Asia, and the Middle East starting September.
