Sony has launched its latest Android flagship named Xperia XZ Premium along with a compact variant Xperia XZs. Both of these smartphones differ completely in terms of specifications except for the world’s first Motion Eye camera for super slow video recordings at 960 fps.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Specifications and Features:

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the true flagship offering with top-notch specifications, best in class features, and a stunning design. To start with, the Xperia XZ Premium sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR display which is a first for any smartphone in the world. It is the same kind of display which Sony uses in its Bravia line of TVs. The USP of the Xperia XZ Premium is its 19MP Motion Eye camera on the back with memory stacked Exmor RS sensor and f/2.0 aperture. As mentioned above, this camera is capable of shooting super slow motion videos at 960 fps which 4x slower than traditional smartphone cameras. On the front, it has a 13MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

As for other technical specifications, the Xperia XZ Premium is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB RAM. The smartphone offers 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 3230mAh battery with fast charging and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box. It also features USB Type-C 3.1 port and fingerprint scanner.

It will be made available for purchase during Spring this year. There are no words on the pricing yet but it will vary from region to region.

Sony Xperia XZs Specifications:

The Sony Xperia XZs is a compact variant of the Xperia XZ Premium. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has been launched in 4GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations. The phone has the exactly same camera setup as the Xperia XZ Premium with same features.

It is powered by a 2900mAh battery with fast charging and will be shipping with Android Nougat 7.1. It will be available in Black, Warm Silver, and Ice Blue color options. The phone has been priced at $699.99 and will go on sale starting April 5th.
