Motorola has now officially confirmed that it will not be upgrading the Moto E3 Power to Nougat. The confirmation has come via Motorola’s official software update support page which shows that the budget smartphone will continue to run Android Marshmallow.
While the smartphone was also excluded from the list of smartphones eligible for Nougat update, the current status on the software update page has simply made it official.
The Moto E3 Power was launched in India last year and is primarily aimed at battery aspect. It sports a 5-inch display with 720p resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6735p processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone has an 8MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter.
It offers 16GB storage but supports microSD cards up to 32GB. It comes with a 3500mAh battery and runs on Android Marshmallow v6.0 out of the box. Motorola had actually sold over 100,000 units of the Moto E3 Power on the launch day in the country.
