Xiaomi is currently working on its first flagship for the year, the Mi 6. It will be a successor to last year’s Mi 5 which did not perform well in terms of sales, especially in India. While we already know it will be packing top of the line specs, we have come across fresh rumors suggesting exactly what to expect.
The most ‘premium’ Xiaomi Mi 6 variant is reported to feature full Ceramic body like we saw with the Mi MIX last year. It is also said to sport dual-edge curved display similar to the Mi Note 2. The same variant will reportedly offer 6GB RAM but there will be 4GB RAM option on the other two variants.
Talking about all three Mi 6 variants, two of them will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and another one with a MediaTek chipset which will also be the cheapest one. Xiaomi is reported to have opted for 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor for the rear shooter and offer 3000mAh battery. There will be 128GB and 256GB storage options running MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat out of the box.
These three variants of the Mi 6 are rumored to be priced at CNY 1999 (Rs. 19,785), CNY 2499 (Rs. 24,734), and CNY 2999 (Rs. 29,682) respectively. While Xiaomi was expected to unveil the phone at MWC 2017, it has now denied its presence at the event. But it seems like we might see the official unveiling of the Mi 6 sometime around March or April.
