As promised earlier by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, OnePlus has finally started to roll out Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 OTA update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. It is an incremental update like previous OnePlus updates which means it will be rolling out to users in phases.
While the update is surely based on Nougat, it is based on Nougat 7.0 instead of Nougat 7.1.1. The changelog for both OnePlus 3 and 3T Nougat update is same.
Upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat:
- New Notifications Design
- New Settings Menu Design
- Multi-Window View
- Notification Direct Reply
- Custom DPI Support
Other than this, the update also brings status bar icon options and improved shelf customizations. If you are a OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T owner, you should wait for the OTA update notification to arrive on your device. You can also check for it manually by visiting Settings->About->System updates.
