Sony Xperia XZ launched in India, free Sony SmartBand with preorders

The phone features three rear camera sensors.

Sony has officially unveiled its latest flagship Xperia XZ in India at an event held earlier this week. It is one of the premium offerings in Sony’s newly launched X series that was introduced earlier this year.

The Sony Xperia XZ sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. The phone has a 23MP rear shooter with three different sensors: laser autofocus sensor, RGBC-IR sensor, and CMOS sensor. On the front, the phone has a 13MP shooter with a wide-angle lens.

It offers 64GB of internal storage and is powered by a 2900mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow. Other features of the phone include a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM, and VoLTE support.

The Sony Xperia XZ has been priced at Rs. 51,990 with the best buy price of Rs. 49,990. It is an Amazon India exclusive with preorders starting October 1st and sales from October 10th. Sony is also offering a free Sony SWR30 SmartBand worth Rs. 8,990 with each preorder.
