I am pretty sure that most of us would agree to the fact that the Moto 360 and Moto 360 (2nd gen) are one of the best-looking smartwatches available in the market. Motorola made both the watches look gorgeous with that round dial but have you ever wondered what if Motorola had released a square shaped smartwatch? Regardless of your answer, here’s your time to see a square shaped Motorola smartwatch.

An unknown has released a bunch of images showing a square shape Motorola smartwatch. You can easily the Motorola batwing logo at the bottom left corner along with the text “Motorola Confidential Property” at the top. This text is an indication that it must have been a prototype that Motorola considered while working on the Moto 360 design.

The design is somewhat like the Apple Watch and the prototype includes a rubber strap. You can also see the power button on the right side of the watch and a USB port when the watch is turned upside down.

While we are eagerly waiting for the Moto 360 (3rd gen), these leaked images do give us an opportunity to think what would have happened if Motorola had really decided to go with the square-shaped dial. We have already seen Asus switch from square to circular dial with the ZenWatch 3 because let’s just be honest, circular dials are cooler than square ones.

In the meantime, you can share your thoughts on this square shaped Motorola smartwatch prototype. We would like to hear from you.
