LG has launched its newest flagship smartphone, the LG G5 at the ongoing MWC 2016 event in Barcelona. The phone is quite different than its predecessor in many ways. It comes with a metal uni-body, slide-out removable battery, and a unique modular design. LG has also announced a number of accessories and modules known as LG Friends which makes most of the modular design of the G5.
To start with, the LG G5 sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum display with ‘Always On’ feature. It means you can take a look at the time, date, and other relevant information without waking up the whole display. LG has said that this feature consumes only 0.8% battery per hour.
Under the hood, you will find an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The LG G5 comes with dual rear camera module with one 16MP camera having 75-degree lens and another 8MP camera with 135-degree wide angle lens. It offers 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support for up to 2TB. The whole package is powered by a 2800mAh slide-out removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
