The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to go official on January 21 which is only about a few days to go, but we have come across a pretty interesting rumor. As per this rumor, the Mi 5 will be available in two variants, one with Full HD (1080p) display and another with Quad HD (1440p) display. The display size of both the models is said to be same at 5.2-inch with 2.5D curved glass.
Other than the difference in display resolution, the Mi 5 models are speculated to differ in RAM and storage space. The slightly lower-end model with 1080p resolution is expected to have 3GB RAM with 32GB storage while the 1440p variant is speculated to come with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
The rest of the specs are said to be same on both the variants. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. There may be a 16MP camera at the back and a 13MP camera at the front. The whole package is expected to be powered by a 3600mAh battery. It may also have a fingerprint scanner integrated with the home button. As I mentioned earlier, the Mi 5 is expected to get announced on January 21 with sales expected to start from February 8.
