We have heard a lot of rumors and speculations about the upcoming flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S7. But the fresh speculations are coming from one of the most credible sources, The Wall Street Journal. As per the report from WSJ, the Galaxy S7 will feature force-sensitive display like 3D Touch in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. If it is true, then users will able to perform different tasks on their smartphone without launching the app and by simply applying pressure on the display.
The report further mentions that next flagship from the South Korean manufacturer may also come with USB Type-C along with support for fast charging. It does not mention which fast charging technology the phone will feature but claims that phone will get a day’s charge only after charging it for about 30 minutes.
Another interesting speculation in the report is that Samsung may also add retina display in some of the variants. However, as the launch of the phone is only about a few months away, the decision may also change. The camera of the phone is also said to be an improved one when compared to the Galaxy S6 with no bulge.
In other expectations, the Galaxy S7 is also expected to come in curved variants like the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Last week, it was rumored that the Galaxy S7 would have four variants: the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S7 Edge Plus, and S7 Plus.
The launch of the smartphone is expected in early 2016, sometime around MWC 2016 in Barcelona. We will keep you updated about all the latest information related to one of the most awaited flagship smartphones of 2016.
