OnePlus has announced the rollout of a new update of OxygenOS for the OnePlus X. The new update will bump the version number to 2.1.3 and bring a lot of improvements. The most important thing about the update is that it also carries improvements related to the SD card issue. The issue was reported by almost every user who had updated their phone to the OxygenOS 2.1.2. As a result, their phone was failing to recognize the SD card properly.

As mentioned by OnePlus, the update carries following improvements:

  • ddSD card related improvements including:
    UX improvements
    exFAT SD card support
    Ability to move apps to and from SD card
  • Fixed reboots caused by removing SD card in an active state
  • Security patches
  • General bug fixes and optimizations

Like the tradition with updates rolled out by OnePlus in the past, this update will also be rolled out to about 10% of users initially and if everything goes smooth, then it will be made available for the remaining ones.
