Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 3 at an event held at China National Convention Center. The phone comes with a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Xiaomi has said it takes only 0.3 seconds to unlock the phone using the scanner. It is also the first-ever Xiaomi device to sport a metallic build as well as the fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5.-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone runs on the same Helio X10 chipset that was used in the Redmi Note 2 and has PowerVR G200 GPU. The phone has a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter. Xiaomi has said its rear camera takes only 0.1 seconds to focus on the object. It comes with a big 4000mAh battery and despite this, it sports 8.65mm thickness. It will run on the latest MIUI 7 straight out of the box.
The Redmi Note 3 is available in two variants: 2GB RAM with 16GB of storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB of storage. Both the variants are priced at 899 Yuan (about Rs. 9,332) and 1099 Yuan (about Rs. 11,409) respectively.
It is a dual-SIM phone with support for 4G LTE. You can also choose from Silver, Gold, and Dark Grey color options.
